A bearded lady and a whimsical boy who was never actually born began a musical journey. Along the way they met a gothic, Asian chick and a not-so-angry quarter-phillipino guy who wanted nothing more than to hit things with sticks......... Read MORE!
There was no Revolver without Help nor Help without a Hard Day’s Night. Influenced by talented musician parents, understanding and listening to each Beatles album in order was a life lesson that undeniably shaped the song writing of this respectable musician based out of Philadelphia.... Read MORE!

Over the better part of the past three decades, our beloved metal subculture has transformed from its former gruesome self into a mere shell of its own identity. It seems that fewer respectable bands rear their beautiful deformed heads these days. Recordings have become spectacles of ego and mass clichés; shows have been reduced to over-priced fashion expos.
We're Hung At Dawn, and we want to be your heroes.
We're not here to be the next Zeppelin, or whine to you about our failed high school relationships... we'll leave the subtleties to the experts. Don't expect to catch us in designer footwear or wiping away streams of mascara mid-performance. That shit burns. What we are here to do is remind America what metal could have been if we hadn't bastardized it.
Through numerous trials and errors, what started as a garage band three years ago has finally taken shape as a pounding force to be reckoned with; a tool to level the playing ground. All cheesey metal descriptions aside, this certainly doesn't suck.

Painted Grey is an acoustic pop rock band hailing from Portland, Oregon. With an unbridled passion for music, Painted Grey shines like a beacon in the foggy Pacific Northwest. Starting as an acoustic duo with Andrew Tewson and Deanna Walton, Painted Grey began to take shape with the addition of Caleb Roloff in the spring of 2008. Shifting away from a solely acoustic style, they've developed a much fuller and rock driven sound, while artistically reflecting their acoustic roots.
Andrew and Deanna initially met in a former band that lasted only a couple of months. Driven on by their desire to play music, they continued writing and recording in Andrew's basement for the better part of a year. Moving from Long Beach, Washington, Caleb met Deanna while working at the same restaurant in the Portland area. Caleb began attending jam sessions religiously shortly there after.
In May of 2009, their original drummer Paul Tewson moved to southern California to attend graduate school. In the spring and fall of 2009, Wylie Foster and Ben Geist filled in the drums and bass roles with a new found energy and drive that has filled out and refined their already compelling sound.
Painted Grey is currently working on their second EP, due out in the earlier part of 2010, while also looking to extend their shows outside the Pacific Northwest.
